Twitter Updates Are (Almost) All I Need

I didn’t realize how long it had been since I last posted a blog entry. Yikes. I guess I don’t blog as much these days because updating my  Twitter status (which in turn updates my Facebook status) takes care of most of my spur-of-the-moment updates.

If you don’t know what Twitter is, it’s… well, it’s kind of hard to explain exactly what Twitter is. It’s kind of a micro-blogging platform. It’s kind of a one-to-many instant messaging platform. I guess it’s really a new type of communications platform.

What’s great about Twitter is that, since it has an open API, other services and applications and pull in “tweets” at any time, which is how my Facebook status gets updated.

It’s easy to follow people on Twitter, too. You can sign up for a free account and follow people through Twitter’s service, or you can use your RSS reader (you are using an RSS reader, right?) to import the RSS feed of any user.

Here’s a link to my Twitter feed. If you want to know what’s going on with me, that’s a good way to do so. I encourage everyone to sign up and give it a try.
