Three is the Magic Number

For my loyal readers (I know you’re out there; I can hear you rolling your eyes), you are most likely aware of my previous purchases of an iMac and a Wii. They say things happen in threes, so I bought myself a MacBook Pro. Just to prove that old adage, of course. I got this MacBook Pro from CDW. The original price for this model was $2499. CDW has it — new — for $1329. This is not the current model sold by Apple (it’s the previous generation), but it’s a damn fine laptop and one hell of a deal. And for those who know me, I can’t pass up a deal. “What’s that? 50% off for weapons grade plutonium? Well, I don’t need it and I’ll surely get arrested, but I just can’t say no.”
I’ve never had a “pro” laptop before, but this computer is beautiful. I might sit at Starbucks for a couple hours this weekend with the laptop, just to see how many compliments I get. And pickup lines that women will throw at me and my laptop. Or just at the laptop, sexy bastard.
So now I have a Mac mini, which was my main computer, to sell. I might actually turn it into a DVR or I might sell it. I haven’t decided yet. Or I’m schizophrenic and the two personalities want to do different things. It’s tough to tell. What? Shut up you. Hey, that’s not nice. Bite me jerk. Bring it.
I’ve now hit my electronics quota for the year. This will be a long 9 months ’til December…
