Memory, why dost thou fail me so?

Throughout a given day, I come across a thought or situation that triggers a “You should put this in your blog” reaction. By the time I actually sit down to update my journal, I forget what it is I wanted to write about. I really need to come up with some type of note system to remember things like this. I would use a voice recorder, but then I’d be a tool.
Tomorrow I go back to work, which will take some adjustment. I’ve been out of that mindset for what seems like a long time now, and I only have a vague idea of where I left off in my project and what still needs to be done. I need to assess things tomorrow and figure out some type of timetable for getting everything done. Plus, I need to find out what I’ve missed, since I’ve received no emails from my project team. I sure hope they’ve been keeping a list of things and changes that have an impact on the manual I’m writing, or I’m going to be very cross for the rest of the week.
My boss sent me a “Get Well” tin of Mrs. Field’s cookies on Monday. I’m proud that there are still over half of them still in the tin and it’s a full 36 hours after I received them. I’m looking on teleflora.com (because that’s where it appears he ordered them from) and mrsfields.com, but I can’t find the exact tin anywhere. I wanted to show a picture because they’re so fantabulous, but I guess you’ll just have to use your imagination.
Well, time to go watch House.
