Optimus Prime? He's Jewish?

Ah, warm weather is finally upon us and it feels great…unless you’re sitting in my apartment. Right now it’s 80 degrees and holding steady. The air conditioning has been on steady for the past two days and 80 is the lowest the temperature has been. I think tomorrow I will have to call the rental office and have someone look at my AC unit. I can understand if it would take a little bit of time to get the temperature down, but after two days of the AC unit running nonstop, 80 degrees is unacceptable. It’s so hot in here the 75% off Easter candy I bought was melting, so I had to throw it in the fridge. For some reason, I think chocolate tastes worse when it’s refrigerated, so that doesn’t help. I mean, it’s still chocolate, so I’m happy eating chocolate in pretty much any way except moldy, but it’s just another annoyance.
Today I woke early and took my car to the Mazda dealership to have the mirror replaced. While it was in the shop, I had them change the oil and do the safety and emissions inspections. Now that the inspections are done, I can finally get my VA plates and license. It was $222 for the entire bill, which was less than the $240 I was quoted for just the mirror and labor, so that was a nice surprise. While the car was in the shop, I walked to Denny’s and had breakfast. Man, for $5 I got French toast, scrambled eggs, sausage and bacon. It was so good I might have to partake in the Denny’s menu more often. Plus, I’m not a minority, so they won’t discriminate against me.
After work, when I got in my car, I managed to sit on a yellow jacket. How did said yellow jacket get into my car? It seems the dealership left the passenger window down a 1/4-inch for some strange reason. Of course, I didn’t notice that and left the window open all day. Good thing it wasn’t raining; bad thing yellow jackets are apparently attracted to my car (as well as drunk Red Sox fans, for some reason). So I sat on the yellow jacket and it stung me in the back of my thigh. Do you know how uncomfortable it is to sit on that on a hot day with a long drive? The car gods are still mad at me for something, apparently. I guess I’ll do some penance by letting someone in when they’re trying to merge, or something.
I also bought a new computer today! I ordered an eMac for $650. It shipped already as is due to be here 4/26. Yay! It’ll be a big upgrade for me over my iBook. Don’t get me wrong, I love my iBook, but it is starting to show its age. Some applications are starting to feel slow and processor intensive tasks do take awhile. The eMac was a really good price, so I decided to jump on it.
OK, off to go sit in the sauna, I mean, bedroom.
